Machiko Soga was a Japanese actress and voice actress who died on May 7, 2006. She also went by the stage name Stella Soga and appeared in a number of Japan’s most popular television soap operas.

She portrayed a variety of bad characters in the Super Sentai franchise, including Queen Hedrian in Denziman and Sun Vulcan.
For one episode of Maskman, she played Tube Empire’s field commander, Baraba’s mother. After Power Rangers became a hit in America, she soon found herself re-dubbing her own lines as Rita Repulsa when the show was broadcast in Japan.
In her honor, the makers of Power Rangers: Mystic Force repurposed footage of her as Magiel to show a reformed Rita Repulsa in the Mystic Force’s two-part closing episode.
