For reviving one of America’s major film genres, Taylor Sheridan is hailed as the “father of contemporary Westerns.” Taylor Sheridan was born in Cranfills Gap, Texas, about an hour’s drive west of Waco, on May 21, 1970. He was raised in a rural, underdeveloped area of West Texas with limited access to contemporary comforts. Family problems impacted his early years.
